Hello friends and supporters of the Lighthouse Food Farm. I am Jim Bonham, also known as Farmer Jim.

This article is a request to our friends, present supporters and to everyone that will consider to be a supporter of the Lighthouse Food Farm. We grow fresh vegetables and fruits to donate to  soup kitchens, food banks, and individuals that run out of money paying their bills before getting to the grocery store. Giving Hope where there is No Hope is part of our work, helping feed hungry Americans.

All vegetables and fruits are organically grown. We raise a spring crop of the normal spring vegetables and during the winter we grow greens like kale, turnip greens, collards and curly mustard.

We need $589.13 to keep the Electricity ON > by March 31, 2011 2 pm. It is also time to start our spring crops, so we need extra money to purchase seed and potting soil to start our plants. It costs us $78.50 per day to operate this farm. Plus some other misc. expenses coming to a total of just over $2,500.00 each month to operate the farm.

I will continue to work the farm as much as possible. I won’t give up until God shuts the door completely and I don’t think he will do that.

 I always try to speak in the terms of “We” because it is a collective effort from all that have supported the Lighthouse Food Farm. This help could be as prayers, monetarily, telling others about our farm, donation of seeds, donations of materials, discounts, donations small and large, all which keep the Lighthouse Food Farm in operation.

We look at this as a Special and most effective way of accomplishing a miracle from God. God has aligned all of us to come together, and our  Collective Efforts can Accomplish Miracles for thousands of hungry Americans.

 For those that do not know what we do at the Lighthouse Food Farm:

We have accomplished a lot during 2010. This year, a gentleman and his wife came to our farms rescue. Our tractor had completely stopped operating and parts were not to be found.

On March 10th, 2010, I prayed to God that we would get the funds for a new tractor, or he would send a tractor, new or used, it didn’t matter. Immediately after my prayer, the phone rang, and on the other end was a mans voice that said, “I understand you need a tractor“. WOW!! Talk about an immediate answer to a prayer! See more about the tractor donated here. This kept the Lighthouse Food Farm in operation in 2010 when we thought it was a hopeless situation. God sent these wonderful people to the rescue.

Now it has not stopped there. Many of you have helped financially, even when it hurt. I am so thankful for people that listen to God. Your support is absolutely the only way we can continue to do God’s Work he called us to do. May God continue to Richly Bless You and Yours.

We hope you will excuse our videos, we produce and edit our own videos which saves us tons of money. No money is spent producing our videos, just some of my time. We try to make them as professional as possible with what equipment  and software we have available to use.

Our financial storm seems to be getting worse and we need many more supporters to keep the farm in operation.
